from Adrian Rogers' devotional book What Every Christian Ought to Know Day by Day
For God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 (kjv)
The Bible is a library of sixty-six books written by at least forty authors, perhaps more. These people lived in a period of time spanning at least 1,600 years, in about thirteen different countries, on three different continents. They came from all backgrounds: shepherds, kings, soldiers, princes, fishermen, scholars, historians, professional men, common laborers. The Bible is written in different styles and in at least three different languages.
And yet when you bring all of that together, it makes one book that has one story. Only God could create that kind of unity.
